PLAGIARISM, AI USAGE, AND PUBLICATION ETHICS POLICY

The International Journal of Technical and Non Technical Research and Analysis (IJTNRA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, research ethics, and publication quality. All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening and editorial evaluation before being considered for peer review. IJTNRA maintains a strict anti-plagiarism policy. Submitted manuscripts shall be screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts exhibiting significant plagiarism, duplicate publication or unethical practices shall be rejected immediately.
1. Plagiarism Policy
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original and have not been published previously or submitted elsewhere for publication.
IJTNRA follows the principles of academic integrity recommended by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and internationally accepted publication ethics standards.
Acceptable Similarity Limits
- Overall Similarity Index up to 10%: Acceptable and may proceed for peer review.
- Similarity Index above 10% and up to 30%: Authors may be asked to revise the manuscript and reduce similarity before further processing.
- Similarity Index above 30%: The manuscript may be rejected due to excessive textual overlap.
The Editorial Board may exclude references, bibliography, standard methodology descriptions, properly quoted text, and common technical phrases while evaluating similarity reports.
2. Forms of Unethical Plagiarism
The following practices are strictly prohibited:
- Direct copying of text without proper citation.
- Paraphrasing another author's work without acknowledgement.
- Self-plagiarism or duplicate publication.
- Submission of previously published work as original research.
- Data fabrication or falsification.
- Manipulation of figures, images, tables, or research findings.
Any manuscript found to contain such misconduct may be rejected immediately.
3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy
IJTNRA recognizes the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, and similar technologies in research and scholarly writing.
Authors may use AI tools only for:
- Language editing and grammar correction.
- Improving readability and clarity.
- Formatting assistance.
- Translation support, subject to verification by the authors.
However:
- Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.
- AI systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
- Authors must verify and edit all AI-assisted content before submission.
- AI-generated references must be checked for authenticity and accuracy.
- Fabricated citations, inaccurate information, manipulated images, or false data generated using AI are strictly prohibited.
- AI tools must not be used to generate research data, experimental results, conclusions, peer-review reports, or scientific findings without proper disclosure and validation.
- Significant use of AI tools must be disclosed in the manuscript under an Acknowledgement or Declaration section.
4. Editorial Action for Misconduct
If plagiarism, duplicate publication, falsified data, fabricated references, image manipulation, undisclosed AI-generated research content, or any other publication misconduct is detected, IJTNRA reserves the right to
- Reject the manuscript.
- Request corrections or clarifications.
- Withdraw an accepted manuscript.
- Retract a published article.
- Inform the author's institution or relevant authorities where necessary.
5. Author Declaration
By submitting a manuscript to the IJTNRA, the corresponding author hereby declares and certifies that:
- The submitted manuscript is original and free from plagiarism.
- All sources of information, data, and ideas have been properly acknowledged and cited.
- The work complies with accepted ethical standards of research and scholarly publication.
- Any use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools or technologies in the preparation of the manuscript has been transparently disclosed.
- The manuscript is not under review, consideration, or publication elsewhere.
- All listed authors have made appropriate contributions to the work and approve its submission.
- The authors accept full responsibility and accountability for the accuracy, integrity, and content of the submitted manuscript.
6. Compliance with Publication Ethics
IJTNRA expects all authors, reviewers, editors, and members of the Editorial Board to uphold the highest standards of publication ethics, academic integrity, transparency, confidentiality, fairness, and professional responsibility throughout the submission, peer-review, editorial, and publication processes. Any suspected breach of these ethical principles will be handled in accordance with the journal's policies and internationally recognized guidelines on publication ethics.
7. Copyright Policy
Authors retain copyright of their work while granting IJTNRA the right to publish the accepted manuscript. Proper acknowledgment of the journal shall accompany any subsequent use of the published material.
